What it is
The T8 5Ft 24W G13 LED Grow Light Lamp is a specialised linear LED tube designed specifically for plant growth and horticultural lighting rather than conventional room illumination.
Its spectral output targets important photosynthetic regions, producing 6 µmol/s in the 400–500nm range and 25.2 µmol/s in the 600–700nm range. Total photosynthetic PPF is 36 µmol/s, providing substantially more plant-usable light than the smaller 2Ft and 4Ft versions in the range.
The lamp consumes 24W, operates at 230V, uses a standard G13 bi-pin base, and measures approximately 1500mm long and 25mm in diameter. Rated operating life is approximately 15,000 hours.
Because this is a dedicated grow lamp, lumens and conventional colour temperature are not the appropriate primary performance measurements. Its PPF and spectral distribution provide much more useful information about the light available to plants for photosynthesis.
