36W 4Ft T8 Blacklight Blue UV-A fluorescent lamp with a G13 bi-pin base, designed to produce long-wave ultraviolet radiation that excites fluorescent and UV-reactive materials. The 36W BLB is ideal for fluorescence effects, stage and entertainment lighting, inspection, authentication, detection and specialist UV applications.

The 36W BLB T8 Blacklight Blue Fluorescent Lamp is a specialist low-pressure mercury-vapour fluorescent tube designed to produce long-wave UV-A radiation rather than conventional white illumination.

Used inside an internal fluorescent coating that converts the lamp’s mercury discharge into long-wave ultraviolet radiation capable of exciting fluorescent materials. The lamp provides 9.5W of UV-A radiation after 100 hours, according to the some measurements. The lamp features a standard G13 medium bi-pin base and T8/T26 construction. The tube itself is approximately 1200mm long, with a maximum overall dimension of approximately 1213.6mm, making it the familiar 4Ft-class fluorescent format.

Unlike a UV-C germicidal tube, this Blacklight Blue lamp is designed primarily to excite luminescence. It is therefore suited to UV-reactive displays, entertainment effects, authentication, fluorescence inspection and other specialist blacklight applications rather than sterilisation.
