20W 5Ft T5 LED tube with a G5 bi-pin base, producing 2000 lumens of bright 6500K Daylight illumination. The Eurolux G46DL provides an energy-efficient LED upgrade for compatible 5Ft T5 fluorescent installations, including fittings originally designed around 35W, 49W and 80W T5 lamps, subject to correct fitting conversion and compatibility.
What it is
The Eurolux G46DL T5 5Ft 20W G5 LED Lamp is a slim linear LED tube designed to upgrade compatible conventional T5 fluorescent installations to modern LED technology.
Operating at 230V, the lamp consumes only 20W while producing approximately 2000 lumens of light. Its 6500K Daylight colour temperature provides a crisp, bright white appearance suited to workshops, commercial spaces, utility areas and other applications where clear, high-visibility illumination is preferred.
The lamp features a G5 bi-pin base, opal construction and measures approximately 1449mm long × 18.4mm diameter. A broad 180° beam angle distributes light across the working area while the opal diffuser helps produce a more uniform appearance.
The 1449mm lamp body corresponds to the common long T5 format used by several conventional fluorescent wattages. However, this is a 230V LED lamp rather than a direct fluorescent retrofit. Eurolux specifically states that it should be installed by a qualified electrician, so existing fluorescent control gear must not automatically be assumed compatible.
Use Cases / Applications
- T5 fluorescent-to-LED conversions
- Workshops
- Commercial premises
- Retail stores
- Warehouses
- Offices
- Utility areas
- Work benches
- Production areas
- Task lighting
- Garages
- Existing compatible 5Ft T5 fittings
- LED upgrades for suitable 35W, 49W and 80W T5 installations
Key Benefits
- Energy-efficient 20W LED
- 2000 lumen light output
- Bright 6500K Daylight
- CRI 80
- G5 bi-pin base
- Long 1449mm / 5Ft-class format
- Opal diffuser
- Wide 180° beam angle
- Instant full brightness
- Approximately 30,000-hour rated life
- Reduced energy consumption compared with conventional T5 fluorescent lamps
- Mercury-free LED technology
- Reduced maintenance requirements
- The G46DL is particularly useful where an older long-format T5 fitting is being converted to LED. Its 20W power consumption provides a significant reduction compared with conventional 35W, 49W or 80W fluorescent lamps, although its 2000lm output should not be interpreted as equivalent to the original lumen output of every fluorescent wattage.
- EMC compliant
Safety Compliance
- Operates at 230V
- Installation should be performed by a qualified electrician
- Not a direct T5 fluorescent retrofit
- Existing fluorescent ballast/control gear must not automatically be assumed compatible
- Fitting may require appropriate rewiring or conversion
- Isolate the electrical supply before installation or modification
- Confirm G5 base and physical lamp dimensions
- Do not install based on physical fit alone
- Not dimmable
- Use only in compatible fittings
- Follow applicable electrical installation requirements
