6W A60 B22(BC) Insect Repellent LED Lamp producing 200 lumens of specialised 610nm orange illumination. Designed to help reduce the attraction of mosquitoes, moths and certain other flying insects to illuminated areas. Ideal for patios, verandas, outdoor entertainment areas and covered entrances.
Â
What it is
The A60 6W B22(BC) Insect Repellent LED Lamp is a specialised LED bulb designed to provide practical ambient lighting while reducing the attraction of certain flying insects.
Unlike conventional white LED bulbs, which emit a broad spectrum of visible light, this lamp produces orange illumination at approximately 610nm. This wavelength is intended to be less attractive to mosquitoes, moths and certain other insects.
The lamp consumes just 6W and produces 200 lumens, providing gentle ambient illumination suitable for outdoor entertainment areas, patios, verandas and covered entrances.
Its standard B22 bayonet cap allows installation into compatible BC lamp holders, while the familiar A60 shape makes it suitable for many conventional light fittings.
Important: This is a light-based insect deterrent, not an insect killer. It does not use insecticides, UV insect attraction, electrical grids or trapping mechanisms.

Brand Reputation
Specialist insect-repellent LED lamps provide an alternative approach to conventional outdoor lighting by using wavelengths intended to attract fewer flying insects.
Unlike UV insect-killer lamps, which deliberately attract insects towards a trapping or killing mechanism, orange-spectrum insect-repellent lamps aim to reduce the attractiveness of the illuminated area while providing useful ambient light. This makes them particularly suitable for patios, verandas and outdoor entertainment spaces.
6W A60 B22(BC) Insect Repellent LED Lamp producing 200 lumens of orange light at approximately 610nm. Designed to provide useful ambient illumination while emitting a light colour that is less attractive to mosquitoes and certain other insects, making it ideal for patios, verandas, braai areas and outdoor entertainment spaces.
Â
What it is
The A60 6W B22(BC) Insect Repellent LED Lamp is a specialist LED globe designed to provide ambient lighting while helping to reduce the attraction of mosquitoes, moths and certain other insects around illuminated areas.
Rather than using ultraviolet light to attract or kill insects, the lamp produces orange visible light at approximately 610nm. This wavelength is less attractive to many insects than the shorter blue and ultraviolet wavelengths commonly present in conventional white lighting.
Producing 200 lumens from 6W, the lamp is intended primarily for comfortable ambient and decorative illumination rather than high-output task lighting.
Its familiar A60 shape and standard B22 bayonet cap allow straightforward installation into compatible household and outdoor fittings.
