What it is
The G4 1.5W 12V LED Lamp is a miniature low-voltage LED capsule designed for light fittings using the compact G4 bi-pin base.
The G4 base uses two straight pins spaced approximately 4mm apart, making it common in small decorative fittings, cabinet lights, display lighting and other applications where space is limited.
Consuming only 1.5W, this LED lamp offers substantially lower power consumption than traditional G4 halogen capsules while also generating considerably less radiant heat.
It operates from a 12V low-voltage supply and must not be connected directly to 220–240V mains power. Compatibility with AC, DC and existing electronic halogen transformers depends on the specific lamp and power supply.

One of the most important considerations when replacing a G4 halogen capsule with LED is the existing transformer. Older electronic halogen transformers can require a minimum load to operate correctly. A 1.5W LED may fall below this minimum, potentially causing flickering or failure to start.
